Binaural beats have been gaining in popularity in the last few years, and with good reason. Designed to help with everything from tinnitus to stress control, it is a naturally occurring phenomenon that has been around for many years.

Although the technology to simulate binaural beats music has only been around for about the past 100 years or so, it is actually based on the age-old belief that the brain could be entertained and conditioned through the use of repetitive sounds.

First I’m going to give some background to binaural beats in general but if you just want to read the review, scroll down and make sure to click here to check out their website in a new tab (and get a discount!). The history of brainwave entrainment

Ancient sound healing devices have been discovered all over the world from Egypt and Babylon to Peru, Tibet and Mexico. In fact, sound healing used to hold a special place in traditional shamanic culture and sound was considered an integral part of the healing process as well as a standalone curative therapy.

Music of the Spheres

Some people believe that binaural beats music is the sound naturally emanated by the cosmos. This music is called “music of the spheres” and is believed to be the “music” created by the movement of the planets.

This means that binaural beats music is the “original sound” and likened to the very origins of the manifest universe. Because of this, it is believed to be especially powerful and healing, not to mention a primal link to our ancient past.

Binaural Beats and Shamanism

Renowned scientist Melinda Maxfield PhD conducted an extensive study on ancient shamanic drumming around the world. She concluded that they drummed at a steady rate of 4.5 beats a second.

This magic number (4.5 beats per second) induces a trance-like state in tribe members and allows them to go into an altered state of consciousness due to the brain switching to a 4.5 beats per second brainwave frequency. Based on her extensive research, Maxfield concluded that sound formed an integral part in the health and well-being of the community.

Binaural Beats

Maxfield’s research is backed up by findings about different healing modalities the world over. For example, Tibetan monks, Native North American and South American shamans and Hindu Yogis have been able to induce specific brainwave frequencies that allow them to slip into an altered state of consciousness. They can then use this expanded awareness for spiritual growth, healing and meditation.

Still need convincing that binaural beats meditation is the real deal?

The Parietal Lobe

Scientific research conducted by neuroscientist Andrew Newberg, (the author of “How God Changes Your Brain”) concluded that activity in the parietal lobe (which is responsible for orienting us in the sensory world) dropped to almost nothing when people were engaged in prayer and meditation. Perhaps this explains why people feel such a profound state of oneness with the universe when they are meditating and praying.

The Modern Father of Binaural Beats

Meteorologist and physicist Heinrich Wilhelm Dove first discovered how binaural beats meditation worked in 1839.

Fast-forward to 1973 when Dr. Oster Gerald bought binaural beats technology into mainstream awareness when he published a paper called “Auditory Beats in the Brain” (Scientific American, 1973).

In his paper, Dr. Oster posited that;

“it is possible that hormonally induced physiological behaviour changes may be made apparent by measuring the binaural-beat spectrum.”

Binaural Beats in the 21st Century

Its been forty five years since Dr. Oster first published his ground breaking research and since then many scientists and sound engineers have come forward backing Dr. Oster’s claims and bringing new levels of understanding to binaural beats technology.

Not just that, but its now being used by people the world over to entertain the brain into altered states that contribute to stress relief, concentration and focus, improved sleep patterns, pain relief and much more.

Binaural Beats Meditation Review

Now in this post, we’re talking specifically about ‘Binaural beats meditation’ which is the actual product name that we’re reviewing. You can check their website out here in a new tab and follow along with what we’re saying.

This is a company that have developed a really effective set of binaural beats that can be used for a huge variety of things. Don’t worry, I’ll explain:

How it Works: In a Nutshell

As mentioned above, binaural beats meditation can be used to ENTRAIN the brain to achieve altered brain frequencies.

Brainwave entertainment happens inside the brain, which then causes a physiological response where the brain hears two tones of different frequencies and then perceives a third tone by calculating the difference between the two tones. This means that binaural beats meditations need to be listened to using headphones because each tone is heard by the right ear and the left ear respectively.

What it Does

The brain then follows this new frequency (the third tone) and produces brainwaves at the same rate of Hertz (Hz). This means that binaural beats meditation can help change your life (Big statement but it’s true!).

Because it changes the way your mind (brain) works, you can overhaul all over aspects of your world that you would like to change. Depending on what you want to achieve, a whole world of possibilities naturally and effortlessly opens up to you when you start changing your brainwave frequency.

Why Choose Binaural Beats Mediation?

Their website is straightforward and easy to use, and you can even download some free samples to make sure that you are happy with what you’re getting.

All the meditations available through their site are of a high professional standard and have been designed by scientists and sound engineers with more than 17 years experience in their respective fields.

(That’s really important, because a LOT of binaural beats companies don’t understand what they’re creating and selling, and how it’s going to affect peoples brains, but these guys have done their homework).

Note that hypnosis and subliminal messaging are not used (for subliminal go to BlissCoded sound), however each meditation is enhanced with beautiful musical compositions to ensure that you really get the most out of each of your binaural beats meditations.

There is also an enormous variety of different meditations for you to choose from depending on the state you want to achieve in your meditation. If you’re ready to change your life and start evolving, you can’t go wrong with giving binaural beats meditation a try!
